5/27 Memorial Day: According to HISTORY the Civil War Veteran leader General John A. Logan launched a nationwide day of remembrance later that month. “The 30th of May, 1868, is designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers, or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village and hamlet churchyard in the land.” Once known as Decoration Day, it is now known as Memorial Day.
To honor those who have fallen defending our great nation, our offices will be closed on Monday, May 27th and resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 28th.
Our submissions team in Europe will still be logging submissions throughout the weekend so feel free to send your submissions to Submissions@cig-llc.biz or log on to the portal https://commercialinsurance.surefyre.co
