Bigfoot has a BIG Heart

Our office is committed to reaching out to the community every quarter to make a BIG impact. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately:

Susan G Komen Walk

Our Office went out and participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure! Raising awareness and money in effort to cure breast cancer. Bigfoot insurance team members completed this 5k in honor of one of our best employees, Lori (featured in the center in all pink), who was celebrating her birthday!

You can participate in a Race for the Cure near you or donate to the Susan G. Komen foundation by clicking HERE

Mud Run 5K

Once upon a time our office formed a team to race in a Mud Run 5k!

By being willing to get down and dirty, our team built bonds that are unbreakable and we will always remember this day.

Ecumenical food Drive

Bigfoot insurance went out and helped out Ecumenical Social Ministries (E.S.M) in a food drive. We sure do love to lend a helping hand around Colorado Springs, and we always have fun doing it!

Ax throwing for Reach Pikes peak

An epic ax throwing competition was held in the parking lot outside our office. Bigfoot staff paid a suggested $5 donation to take turns slinging axes at targets, including one with our C.E.O Martin Burlingame’s picture attached! But don’t worry, no hard feelings here just laughs all around! Thanks to Brian at Jack’s Axe for donating his time and all the supplies to make such a great impact for staff morale and the mission of REACH!

In total we raised $1000 for REACH Pikes Peak and celebrated after at the Smiling Toad for happy hour.

Donate for Donuts

Through the month of July 2019 we encouraged our whole office to go out and donate! Each person chose to donate to a charity of their choice (ex. blood, clothes, time, money) and then they posted it on our Donate for Donuts wall! On the 1st of August we celebrated our giving spirit with a round of donuts for the office. We sadly did not gain photos of all the donations but we accomplished multiple donations to the Goodwill and Arc, four blood donations, knitting baby hats for the local hospital, a 5k ran to fundraiser to prevent teen suicide, as well as one employee donating more than 17 inches of hair!

Pictured: The Donate for Donuts wall in our office that is growing everyday and Mark Pearce our V.P of Residential Rental Properties donating blood! Along with three other employees donating blood. And of course our Bigfoot themed donuts for celebration.
